Shed and Greenhouse in Stirling

How to Start Clearing a Wooden Shed and Greenhouse from Your Garden

As the team at Local House Clearance Service from Falkirk found, before you start to remove a shed or greenhouse from a garden, make sure it's NOT still connected to the electric, this one was, and so it was important to get it disconnected before we could start. The shed also had an old victorian sideboard screwed to the back, that had a massive metal vice bolted to that.

The Safety Element of this Property Clearance in Stirling

If you attempted this by yourself, it would be recommended to make sure you’ve always 1 extra person on hand to help. Our next step was to remove all the rubbish from inside the shed and greenhouse, putting all the wood, glass, metal, plastic and paint pots in individual piles for recycling. Then remove all the wooden panels from the sides by using a hammer, and also remove the door.

Once its left only with the frame and floor, un-bolt the frame, bolt by bolt, screw by screw. Once that was all done, 2 long ropes were tied to the front of the shed, and pulled on until the shed was flat on the floor.

Dismantling the Greenhouse

With a greenhouse, you must always take great care when dismantling, because the glass is very fragile and sharp.

The metal frame can also have sharp points. We started by putting on a good pair of gloves before starting to remove each pain of glass, slowly removing the clips first and stacking the glass to one side for recycling.

When all the glass was removed, we started to un-bolt the frame and it all lift apart.
